Voter Information

Make your voice heard! Here’s how to make sure you’re ready to vote.

 


Election Day


  • Date: Tuesday, November 4, 2025
     
  • Polls are open from: 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
     

Early Voting


  • Dates: Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, November 2, 2025
     
  • Times and locations: Will be posted on the Albany County Board of Elections website
     

Early Mail Ballots


  • Any registered voter may apply for an early mail ballot — no reason needed.
     
  • Apply online: absenteeballot.elections.ny.gov
     
  • Request deadline by mail, email, fax, or online: October 20, 2025
     
  • Request in person at the Board of Elections: By November 3, 2025
     
  • Return by mail: Must be postmarked by November 4, 2025
     
  • Drop off in person: Must be delivered to any early voting site, poll site, or the Board of Elections by 9:00 PM on November 4
     

Voter Registration


  • Register to vote by: October 26, 2025
     
  • Register or check your registration status: voterlookup.elections.ny.gov
     
  • Register online through the DMV: dmv.ny.gov
